The Madras High court today ordered status quo with regard to acquisition of lands for the coal based power plant at Upoor in Ramanthapuram district.
A division bench of the court's Madurai bench, comprising Justice Nooty Ramamohana Rao and Justice S S Sundar, was hearing a petition filed by R.Kalimuthu, a land owner.
The petitioner sought a court direction to quash the amendment made by the state government in 2015 to Right to Fair
