Soon after the House assembled at 11 AM, Deputy Leader of Opposition G S Tiwari raised the last night's incident when Hanuman Beniwal, who is suspended from BJP legislative party, abused Minister of State for Medical Rajkumar Sharma during a debate on demands related to his department.

He said that an MLA used abusive language against Sharma in the House last night and Deputy Speaker Ramnarayaran Meena should give ruling in the matter.

Tiwari demanded that the Question Hour be suspended and video footage of the House proceedings be checked.

State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Dhariwal requested Tiwari to let the House function smoothly and raise the issue during Zero Hour. Tiwari, however, continued to demand ruling in the matter.

In the meantime, Minister of State for Home guards and civil defence Rajendra Gudha blamed government chief whip Raghu Sharma for the incident and demanded his suspension.

Both Gudha and Sharma trooped in the Well demanding action against the BJP legislator. Dhariwal and Tourism minister Bina Kak tried to convince them but the duo continued with their protest.

Amid uproar, Congress MLAs tried to convince them but all their efforts went in vain. BJP members also trooped to the well and demanded action.

As the protest continued, the Deputy Speaker adjourned the House till 1200 hours. But when the House reassembled, Meena adjourned the House for an hour.

Later, Deputy Leader of Opposition Ghanshyam Tiwari said that the House should be adjourned for half-an-hour and the Deputy Speaker should see the video footage during this period so that action can be initiated against Beniwal. (More) PTI SDA
