The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recommended 109 candidates, who were put on a reserve list by it, for appointment on remaining vacant posts of Civil Services Examination, 2016.
A total of 1099 candidates were declared qualified by the UPSC for the 2016 examination in order of merit for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and other central services, as against 1,209 vacancies, results of which were declared on May 31 this year.
The UPSC, in accordance with the the Civil Services Examination Rules, was also maintaining a consolidated reserve list in order of merit below the last recommended candidate under the respective categories, the Commission said in a statement today.

It said the candidature of the candidate bearing Roll 0335242 (Vasanthalakshmi M) is provisional.
"The result of one candidate has been withheld," it said.
