UPSTF arrests three arms dealer

Three persons, alleged to be arms dealers, were arrested today and a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from them, police said.

Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh Police (UPSTF) today arrested Jagdish Sharma and Shafiq, both residents of Mathura and one Tanvir, resident of Aligarh from near AMR mall area and recovered illegal arms from them, said Circle Officer UPSTF, Raj Kumar Mishra.

"During interrogation they confessed that they used to bring illegal arms from Indore in Madhya Pradesh and supply them to UP, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh," Mishra said.

STF has recovered nine pistol, six country-made pistol, two single barrel gun of .12 bore, one singal barrel gun (303), 13 live cartridges of .12 bore and four empty cartridges.
