A sub inspector was killed and two policemen were injured when a speeding Uttar Pradesh roadways bus hit their patrol car on national highway 91 at village Maman in the district early this morning, the police said.
The accident happened as soon as the Police Control Room (PCR) vehicle, on a routine patrol duty, took the highway from a link road at an intersection, a senior police official said.
Sub Inspector Rajendra Singh was killed on the spot while driver of the PCR van, Vikas and another policeman Rafiq were injured, SP (City) Praveen Ranjan said.
