Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.29 per cent to Rs 631.90 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders built up fresh positions amid pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June edged higher by Rs 1.85, or 0.29 per cent to Rs 631.90 per 10 kg with an open interest of 52,170 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in May contracts was trading higher by 50 paise, or 0.08 per cent to Rs 629 per 10 kg in 10,690 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders supported by an upsurge in demand in the spot market against tight stocks on fall in supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
