Amid pick-up in domestic demand and restricted supplies from growing regions, refined soya oil were up 0.95 per cent to Rs 707.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants built up fresh positions.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December rose by Rs 6.65, or 0.95 per cent, to Rs 707.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 49,970 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in January was trading higher by Rs 5.30, or 0.76 per cent to Rs 707.25 per 10 kg in 30,590 lots.

Marketmen said fresh positions created by participants due to pick-up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
