Amid pick up in domestic demand and restricted supplies from producing regions, refined soya oil prices were up by 0.36 per cent to Rs 620.05 per 10 kg in futures trading today.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month April rose by Rs 2.25, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 620.05 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 84,820 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in March edged up by Rs 1.95, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 617.45 per 10 kg in 42,860 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by participants backed up by pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
