Crude palm oil prices went up by 0.41 per cent to Rs 511.90 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants indulged in creating fresh positions after spot demand picked up.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in April moved up by Rs 2.10, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 511.90 per 10 kg in business turnover of 59 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in March contracts was trading higher by Rs 1.70, or 0.32 per cent to Rs 533 per 10 kg in one lot.
Analysts said that fresh positions built-up by traders due to pick up in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to rise in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
