Urad, its dal fall on adequate supply

Urad and its dal prices eased at the wholesale pulses market today owing to adequate supplies from producing belts against subdued demand.

However, other pulses settled around previous levels.

Traders said low demand from retailers against increased arrivals from producing regions mainly kept pressure on urad and its dal prices.

In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local eased to Rs 4,200-5,900 and Rs 6,300-6,500 against last close of Rs 5,150-5,950 and Rs 6,500-6,700 per quintal, respectively.

Urad dal best quality and dhoya also traded lower by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,500-7,100 and Rs 6,900-7,300 per quintal, respectively.

Urad 4,200-5,900, Urad Chilka (local) 6,300-6,500, best 6,500-7,100, Dhoya 6,900-7,300, Moong 5,700-6,500, Dal Moong Chilka local 6,400-6,900, Moong Dhoya local 6,400-6,700 and best quality 7,200-7,300.

Masoor small 5,550-5,700, bold 5,550-5,750, Dal Masoor local 6,500-6,600, best quality 6,600-6,700, Malka local 6,500-6,800, best 6,700-6,800, Moth 4,400-4,700, Arhar 4,700- 4,900, Dal Arhar Dara 6,000-6,250.

Gram 2,825-3,725, Gram Dal (local) 3,500-3,700, best quality 3,600-3,900, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,400, Rajdhani 1,400, Rajmah Chitra 4,000-7,400, Kabli Gram small 3,500-6,300, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,800-5,200, Peas white 2,900-2,950 and green 3,000-3,100.
