Urad and its dal prices fell by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today owing to slackened demand from retailers against adequate stocks position.
However, kabuli gram edged higher on scattered demand.
Traders said easing demand from retailers at prevailing levels against ample stocks position kept pressure on urad and its dal prices.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local declined by Rs 200 each to Rs 9,300-10,700 and Rs 9,500-9,600 per quintal, respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 9,600-10,100 and Rs 10,000-10,300 per quintal.
On the other hand, kabuli gram small variety, rose by Rs 100 to Rs 9,500-9,900 per quintal on scattered enquiries.
