Amid rising local demand and restricted arrivals from producing regions, urad and masoor prices rose up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today.
Marketmen said the rise in the prices of select pulses was mostly attributed to rising demand from local parties and tight arrivals from producing regions.
In the national capital, urad edged up to Rs 5,000-5,500 from previous level of Rs 4,850-5,400 per quintal. Its dal chilka local, best and dhoya in line with general trend, were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,200-6,400, Rs 6,450-7,050 and Rs 6,700-7,100 per quintal, respectively.
