The Odisha State Election Commission today issued notification for the elections to the Cuttack Municipal Corporation and Baripada Municipality on February six.
"As per the schedule, February 13 has been set for election to the post of Mayor of the CMC and chairperson of Baripada Municipality. Their deputies would be elected on March 1," State Election Commissioner Ajit Kumar Tripathy said.
With the issue of notifications, the model code of conduct came into force with immediate effect.
Candidates could file nominations between January 13 and 18. Scrutiny would be held on January 20 and withdrawal on January 24.
