US brand InFocus enters Indian smartphone market

US-based InFocus today announced its foray into the Indian market with its smartphone 'M2', priced at Rs 4,999, as it looks to compete with domestic giants like Micromax and Intex.

The smartphone features a 4.2-inch display, 1 GB RAM, 1.3 GHz quadcore processor and Android KitKat operating system.

It has 8 GB internal memory (expandable up to 64 GB), 8 MP cameras - both at the back and front, and 2,010 mAh battery.

The M2 will be sold through e-commerce firm Snapdeal.Com.

Facebook launches programmes to help brands connect with users * Social networking giant Facebook today launched Creative Accelerator, a programme designed to help brands unlock the power of story-telling in high-growth countries.
 

Facebook Creative Shop is working with 7 clients and their agency partners in India, Indonesia, South Africa, Kenya and Turkey to bring brands' stories to life, it said in a blog post.

The goal is to help establish best practices for high growth countries by developing campaigns tailored for the people in each country and the devices they use to experience Facebook, it added.

Snapdeal partners with pest management services firm * Online marketplace Snapdeal has partnered with pest management service firm Hicare in a bid to make pest management service easily accessible.

Customers looking to avail pest control services can now log onto Snapdeal and avail a whole range of pest management services without going through the hassle of finding the right service provider, Snapdeal said in a release.

Hicare pest management service options available on Snapdeal under Home and Living section will include Cockroach Management Services (CMS) for car and home, Bed Bugs Management Service, Termite Management Service and Wood Borer Management Service, it added.
