A top American diplomat is visiting India this week to hold talks with Indian officials on issues related to ocean.
Acting Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs Judith Garber will be in India February 23-27, an official statement said.
"During her visit, she will meet with government leaders and NGO representatives to discuss ocean issues in the lead up to the September 2016 Our Ocean conference in Washington D C," the State Department said.
She will also meet with Indian experts on air quality, climate change, hydrofluorocarbons and wildlife trafficking.
