US-headquartered analytics firm Mu Sigma, which has offices in Bangalore, is being investigated by the US government for its visa usage.
With over 2,000 decision science professionals and more than 70 Fortune 500 clients, Mu Sigma helps companies institutionalise data-driven decision making and harness big data.
"The US government has asked us to provide certain documents and records related to Mu Sigma's sponsorships for, and uses of, visas," Mu Sigma Founder, Chairman and CEO Dhiraj C Rajaram told PTI.

The privately-held firm, which in December 2011 raised USD 108 million from investors including General Atlantic, is headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois but many of its workers are based out of India.
It has offices in Arkansas, Texas and Washington in the US as well as in England and Australia.
According to people in know of the development, Mu Sigma filed about 630 labour condition applications (LCAs) for H1B visa and around 12 labour certifications for green card between fiscal year 2011 and 2013.
It submitted 155 H-1B Labour Condition Applications (LCAs) for the US Department of Labour to process in 2013. Of the 155 applications, the government certified 151 and denied 4, they added.
The company declined to clarify whether the investigation is targeting H-1B or business visas.
Last year, tech giant Infosys had settled a federal case for USD 34 million over allegations it used business visas to bring in temporary workers hired out for consulting work.
