Amidst simmering tension between the US and Mexico over the issue of the border wall, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly would be visiting the southern neighbor this week.
"During their visit, the two Secretaries will meet with President of Mexico Enrique Pena Nieto and the Mexican ministers of Interior, Foreign Relations, Finance, National Defense, and Navy," Acting Spokesperson of the State Department Mark Toner said.
"The group will discuss border security, law enforcement cooperation, and trade, among other issues," Toner said.
Kelly would also travel to Guatemala to meet with its President Jimmy Morales.
