A woman in the US was arrested after she allegedly stabbed a five-foot-tall teddy bear and punched and kicked her boyfriend during a fight.

Carly Marra, from Casper in Wyoming, attacked a teddy bear gifted by her boyfriend with a kitchen knife and shouted "I wish this was you!"

Marra has been charged with aggravated assault and battery and possession of marijuana.

She was released earlier this week on USD 5,000 bond.

Marra, who has a 16-month-old child with Jordan McAlexander, had an argument with him over a new woman he was seeing.

McAlexander was visiting Marra for one last time before they ended their relaionship. When he told Marra he wanted to step outside to smoke, she demanded he stay inside.

He texted his new girlfriend and a friend that he was afraid Marra would try to stop him from leaving.

He told police Marra became upset and went after the teddy bear with a kitchen knife, Wyoming's Star Tribune reported.

When McAlexander tried to grab the knife and restrain Marra, she bit him on the bicep and punched him with her free hand. She also punched, elbowed and kicked McAlexander in the face and groin, according to a police affidavit.
