Popular Indian pop legend Usa Uthup says she finds the current crop of young music directors promising enough to carry on the glorious tradition of Bengali songs.

Usha, who owns a recording studio, feels optimistic over the whole scenario with the young brigade doing things with lots of passion and verve and the lyrics reflecting the class and content.

"Amazing works by my young friends Rupankar, Manomoy and Prosen....The lyric 'Ghar Bhese Jay....' is haunting," she said at the recroding session of the trio for Daakbaksho.

Happy that he had the blessings of no less a personality than 'Ushadidi', debutant Director Abhijit Choudhury said, "Dakbasho can't be called a sequel to the 80s production Baksho Badal starring Soumitra Chatterjee.

"But it retains the Bengaliness as a clean comedy on relationship and a musical with a freshness" Abhijit said.
