Uttarakhand CM meets President Kovind

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat today met President Ram Nath Kovind and invited him to visit Badrinath-Kedarnath pilgrimage sites.

Speaking to reporters after meeting the president, Rawat said that Kovind has accepted his invitation and is expected to visit Uttarakhand in September.

To a query over the issue of Chinese incursion in Uttarakhand, Rawat said it is the "issue of the country" and any decision regarding it will be taken by the Centre.

He also met Union Minister Uma Bharti and discussed various projects related to the state.
