V K Gupta, the special DG in
Central Public Works Department (CPWD) Headquarters, has taken over as the Director General of the organisation.
Gupta is a 1975 batch Gold Medallist in Civil Engineering from the University of Roorkee.
He has earlier held several posts in CPWD and PWD under the Delhi Government.
Gupta also worked as the Chief Engineer for the Commonwealth Games Project in CPWD and was in-charge of renovation, up gradation and re-construction of 5 stadium complexes of Sports Authority of India in Delhi, an official release today said.
