Multi-brand retail chain V-Mart reported a 26.15 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 9.02 crore for the first quarter ended June 30.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 7.15 crore during the same period of previous financial year, V-Mart said in a filing to the BSE.
Net sales of the company rose 39.65 per cent to Rs 164.78 crore for the quarter under review as against Rs 117.99 crore during the same period of last year.

Overall expenses of the company stood at Rs 151.38 crore compared to Rs 106.67 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Shares of V-Mart Retail closed at Rs 378.95 per scrip on the BSE, up 2.42 per cent from their previous close.
