After ruling himself out of the race for Congress' Chief Ministerial candidate only last week, Shankersinh Vaghela today hinted that he had changed his mind.

"Congress is definitely going to win the Gujarat Assembly elections. I will celebrate next Gudi Padwa in the Chief Minister's Office with you," Vaghela told reporters in Gandhinagar today.

The Leader of Opposition in Gujarat Assembly was quick to add that he didn't know what post he may hold in the Congress government, but would definitely invite reporters to the CMO next year.

As Assembly elections are due in Gujarat this year, an intense race is on between Vaghela and the state Congress chief Bharatsinh Solanki for becoming the chief ministerial candidate of the party.

Vaghela had said last week that he was not in the race.

"Get it out of your head that Bapu (Vaghela) is in the race for CM's post...It is a matter to be considered after we get majority. I withdraw from the race," Vaghela had told a gathering of Congress workers on March 20.
