MDMK founder Vaiko today congratulated Nitish Kumar for his "epoch making" victory in the Bihar assembly polls, saying it had delivered a "mortal blow to the draconian Hindutva forces engineered by RSS."
"My heartiest congratulations to you for the Epoch making spectacular, commendable victory, which has paved a clear path, showing beacon light to protect secularism, the foundation of Indian democracy.
"Your electoral victory has delivered a mortal blow to the draconian Hindutva forces engineered by RSS," Vaiko said in a letter to Kumar, whose JD(U)-led Grand Alliance registered a thumping win against BJP in the polls, whose results were declared yesterday.

In a separate letter, Vaiko also lauded RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav for embracing Kumar to "demolish the vicious attempts of the Hindutva forces."
"You have proved your talented merit as a true disciple of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan. You will celebrate this Diwali with all jubilation," he said in the letter.
