TV and stage actress Valerie Harper, who has been waging a public battle with cancer that spread from her lungs to her brain, neither was nor is in coma, contrary to media reports.
Harper is resting "comfortably" at an undisclosed location, according to a statement released tonight by Bradford Kenney, executive artistic director of the theatre Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine, US.
The actress, best known for her role as Rhoda Morgenstern on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off "Rhoda", was taken to a nearby hospital on Wednesday evening after saying she was feeling ill.
