The Orissa High Court today directed BPUT and OJEE authorities to bring out advertisements mentioning that the validity of enhanced B Tech seats in government colleges of the state are subjected to the outcome of the court decision on the main writ petition.
A division bench, comprising Justices Indrajit Mahanti and D P Choudhury, said in an interim order that this court had passed a previous interim order on June 30, 2015 stating that the six government engineering colleges of the state have enhanced their B Tech seats for 2015-16 academic sessions, pending an approval from AICTE.
However, when it was informed that the colleges through OJEE are admitting the students against the unapproved enhanced seats, the Court observed that any action taken shall be subjected to the writ petition and this ought to be brought to the notice of the aspiring students.
