Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today convened a meeting of senior SAD-BJP leaders, ministers and officials to finalise arrangements to dedicate a temple-cum-panorama complex on December 1 in Amritsar's Valmiki Tirath Sthal.

The Chief Minister asked SAD-BJP leaders and the government's top brass to elicit huge participation of people from different walks of life at the "historic" event, an official release here said.

Badal deputed his Special Principal Secretary KJS Cheema to supervise arrangements and logistics for the mega function.

"The state-of-the-art historical monument-cum-temple with a museum and panorama at the Valmiki Ashram (Ram Tirath) would be a tribute by the state government to Bhagwan Valmiki, who preached the message of equality and universal brotherhood on this sacred land," he said.

"The design of this temple-cum-museum has been conceived and prepared by architects of Guru Nanak Dev University, keeping in mind the religious sanctity of this historic place," he said.
