Vancouver Lions beat Punjab Thunders 57-46 in WKL

Vancouver Lions defeated Punjab Thunders by 57-46 to register only their second win in as many six matches of the inaugural Wave World Kabaddi League (WKL), here today.

The first quarter of the match started with opening points for the Vancouver Lions by Gagandeep Satti.

After a couple of tussle between both the teams, the Lions ended the first quarter with a margvinal 14-13 over the Thunders.

The match opened up in the second quarter but it was the Lions who again ended the quarter on top.

After the end of the second quarter the Lions extended their lead to 28-24 riding on the performamnces of their star raider Balwan Singh.
 

The Lions continued their dominance and made the scoreline 41-35 in their favour after the end of the third quarter.

But the Lions completely stamped their authority in the match in the final quarter and once again Balwan Singh stole the limelight with his 100 per cent successful raid record to seal the tie in his side's favour.
