Vardhan asks youth to quit tobacco use

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan today asked the youth to quit tobacco use and help the government in implementing its health policy at the grass-root level.

Vardhan along with senior BJP leaders and MPs attended the two-day workshop organised by the party's youth wing, Yuva Morcha.

Addressing a session of the workshop, Vardhan appealed to the youth to quit tobacco use as well as to help the government in implementing its health policy at the village level.

Apart from him, the other senior party leaders who attended the workshop included BJP National Organization Secretary Ram Lal, Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay and Members of Parliament Meenakshi Lekhi and Mahesh Giri, a release from the party said.
 

Ram Lal, who addressed the opening session, lauded the contribution of the youth in the society and nation building and appealed to them to work to the best of their abilities to build the nation, society and party, the release said.

The workshop consisted of various training sessions, sports and cultural activities for the youth.
