Ace designer Varun Bahl put on show top-notch experiment with floral prints in his India Couture Week 2016 collection, "Vintage Garden", the couturier's attempt to reinvent heritage silhouettes for contemporary Indian women.
Florals, a mainstay across Bahl's creations, were a highlight of this collection, and complemented tropical motifs in this fashion-forward, feminine and luxurious line, the designer presented on the fourth day of India Couture Week.
"My bride is confident and someone who loves easy clothing. The silhouettes are heavily embroidered but feel very light to wear. I have introduced new length for tops (and) paired them with skirts," the designer told reporters after the show.

Bahl's signature embroidery and silken threadwork were rendered on relaxed silhouettes. Women's wear included lehengas, sarees and floral length anarkalis with long jackets.
The collection gave equal space to men's wear with achkans, Nehru jackets, kurtas and aligarhi's included.
Men's outfits also had floral embroidery.
Varun, who prefers not to have any showstopper, had actor Randeep Hooda cheering for him in the front row.
"I loved his collection. It is for the modern groom who wants to experiment. It was good fun and I would certainly try wearing those floral prints," Randeep said post show.
Designers including JJ Valaya, Rohit Gandhi, Rahul Khanna, Shantanu and Nikhil attended the show.
Actress Pernia Qureshi was also present.
The ramp was decorated with pink, white roses and tulips and chandeliers gave the show a dreamy romantic feel.
The collection was a symphony of sophisticated colours, textures and patterns with a special emphasis on craftsmanship.
