The detailed project report of the Outer Harbour development project of VOC Port here was today released by Shipping Minister G K Vasan.
The project, announced in the 2013 union budget, would be implemented in four phases at an estimated cost of Rs.23,432 crore and facilitate a total annual capacity addition of 328 million tonnes to the port, he said.
The first phase of the project would be implemented at a cost of Rs 11,635 crore.

The Container Handling Capacity of the berth is 6,00,000 TEUs.
Besides, the Minister gave away awards for 'Excellence in Traffic Performance' for 2011-12.
