Indian universities can attract a large number of NRI students from Saudi Arabia who are seeking better educational opportunities for graduate studies, an official of the Indian consulate has said.
Pointing out that the issue of selecting the right institution for higher education after completion of class 12 was very important to the NRI community here, Mohammed Raghib Qureshi from the Consulate General of India in Jeddah called on Indian universities to exploit the vast potential.
"Representatives from Indian universities should explore the opportunities in the country and approach the student community and elucidate them about the courses, amenities and fee structure along with the admission procedures," the head of Chancery and Consul (Education) at the Consulate was quoted by the Saudi Gazette as saying.
Quershi added that children seeking the subject of their choice, had limited options for higher education in Saudi Arabia and it was especially sensitive in the case of girls.
