Vasundhara tarnishing image of Rajasthan: Cong

Rajasthan Congress president Chandrabhan today slammed former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for tarnishing the state's image by projecting wrong pictures.

"It is the Congress government which had introduced pro-people schemes and programmes, including irrigation and power projects," Chandrabhan said said addressing a rally in the tribal district of Baran, which was also attended by Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Alleging that the erstwhile BJP government had done nothing for the welfare of the people, he said, "Instead, she is tarnishing the image of Rajasthan by projecting the state in a wrong manner."

Terming Narendra Modi as an expert in riots, Chandrabhan said, "His anointment as BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate would not have any impact in the upcoming Assembly elections."
 

State Urban Development and Housing Minister Shanti Dhariwal slammed Raje and said, as Chief Minister she had failed to fulfil her promises.

Central ministers Gurudas Kamath, CP Joshi and Sachin Pilot were among others present at the rally.
