"Six vice-chancellors from our region would visit some universities of neighbouring Bangladesh and interact with the teachers and students, see their infrastructures and explore the possibilities of exchange programme with those universities," Vice-Chancellor of Tripura Central University, Arunoday Saha told PTI.
However, he said that a few VCs from Bangladesh would visit the north eastern states soon and then the VCs from the region would go there.
Saha said Bangladeshi Foreign Secretary Mijarul Quayes would interact with students of the University tomorrow and also deliver a lecture on 'South Asian States: Future directions.'
Official sources said, the Bangladeshi Foreign Secretary would also meet Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar tomorrow. Sources said his visit was aimed at improving bi-lateral cooperation with the north eastern states of India.
