Vedanta appoints Sujit Patil as its corp comm chief

Vedanta Ltd today said it has appointed Sujit Patil as head of corporate communications.

Patil will lead all aspects of internal and external communication including branding, media management, social media, public relations and advocacy, Vedanta said in a statement.

Prior to joining Vedanta, Patil was the vice president and head of corporate communications at Godrej.

"The company is on an exciting growth path towards becoming a leading global diversified metal and mining and oil and gas conglomerate with its base in the fastest growing and emerging economy - India," Patil said.

He has worked at conglomerates like Emerson, Tata and Godrej.
 

Vedanta Limited is a diversified natural resources company, with a market cap of USD 14 billion and USD 7 billion free float, whose business primarily involves producing oil and gas, zinc - lead - silver, copper, iron ore, aluminium and commercial power.
