Police said soon after the vegetable vendor was killed in the accident, angry locals assembled and blocked the road under Industrial police station area demanding immediate arrest of the driver of the truck.
They later burnt three trucks during the protest, police added.
The blockade was lifted following intervention by the district authorities.
