Vehicle inspector who amassed assests worth Rs 3.5-cr arrested

The Anti-Corruption Bureau today arrested a Motor Vehicle Inspector in Kothagudem district of Telangana, a day after the agency unearthed assets allegedly related to him to the tune of Rs 3.45 crore, the market value of which is approximately Rs 10 crore.

On credible information a case of disproportionate assets was registered against Md Gouse Pasha and simultaneous searches were conducted at the residences of Pasha, his relatives and associates in six places at Hyderabad and in the districts of Karimnagar, Kothagudem, Khammam and other places yesterday, a ACB release said here.

During the searches, one luxurious three bedroom flat, 2 plots, and 17 acres of agriculture land besides three vehicles including a high-end car, gold jewelry, household articles and cash all worth about Rs 3,41,97,210 crore were unearthed.
 

The market value of the properties is approximately Rs 10 drore, ACB said adding Pasha was subsequently arrested.

The case is under further investigation, the release added.
