A gang of vehicle lifters was busted by police with the arrest of three persons and recovery of two stolen cars in Gulabpur here, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, the three persons, identified as Ravi, Ajit and Santtoo were yesterday arrested in Pilua police station area, while, one of their accomplice, Rahul, managed to escape, they said.
On the basis of information provided by them, two cars and three motorcycles, which they had lifted, were recovered from various locations, they said.
The accused confessed to lifting the vehicles and told police that they were doing it for a long time.
The accused were being interrogated and an investigation is underway in the matter, police said.
