Hundreds of vehicles, including buses and trucks, are lined up near Keel Nadugani, bordering Tamil Nadu-Kerala, as the highway was blocked due to landslide just 30 Kms from the border inside Kerala.
The landslide occured around midnight yesterday, which came to notice only after break of the dawn, during which many vehicles left this tourist town to their respective destinations in Kerala and some passing through Kerala, they said.
The landslide was reported around one km length, as the rain waters logged in the pits formed by mining activities, gushed along with mud, blocking the smooth movement.
The various departments are involved in clearing the debris, they said.
