Election officials today checked vehicles entering and leaving the farm house of Tamil Nadu Finance Minister O Panneerselvam in this district following information that money was being distributed to voters from there, but found nothing amiss.
Officials said they did not find any currency in the vehicles of partymen leaving or entering the farm house at Kailasapatti.
Panneerselvam, a former chief minister and hailing from Theni district, is considered the No.2 in the AIADMK Government and among the four top leaders entrusted with the electioneering of the party by its supremo Jayalalithaa.
