Amid reports of unrest in Venezuela, US President Donald Trump today said this Latin American country is in a mess.
Venezuela has withdrawn from the Organisation of American States (OAS) in response to a vote in the OAS in favour of holding a foreign ministers' meet over the crisis in Venezuela.
"Venezuela is in a mess," Trump told reporters at a brief media appearance with his Argentinian counterpart Mauricio Marci.
"I'm very sad for Venezuela. I'm very sad to see what's happened in Venezuela. Venezuela is in a very sad situation," Trump said while responding to a question on the current political unrest in Venezuela.
Venezuela is witnessing a massive anti-government protest with thousands of people demonstrating in Caracas against President Nicolas Maduro with opposition blaming him for severe shortages of food, medicine and other essentials in the oil-rich country.
