Venkaiah Naidu's PS moved out

IAS officer BVRC Purushottam's tenure as Private Secretary to Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu was abruptly ended today by the government.

The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved the premature cessation of Purushottam's charge as Private Secretary to the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, said an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.

A 2004-batch IAS officer of Uttarakhand cadre, Purushottam has been appointed Private Secretary to Minister of State for Tourism and Culture and also Civil Aviation, Mahesh Sharma, it said.

He has been appointed for a balance period of five years, that is, up to June 19, 2019, the order said.
