'Verka' ghee prices slashed by Rs 10 per kg

MILKFED Punjab, a leading dairy cooperative, has slashed the price of 'Verka Ghee' by Rs 10 per litre/kg with effect from today.

Keeping in view the stock position, procurement trend, market scenario and the upcoming festival of Baisakhi, Milkfed has reduced prices of Verka ghee both in consumer as well as bulk packing by Rs 10 per litre/kg.

With the reduced rates the carton pack of Verka ghee would be now be available at Rs 330 per kg.

Likewise, the tin pack of 'desi ghee' would be available at Rs 340 per kg instead of currently Rs 350, an official release said here.
 

On an average, the Punjab State Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation Limited (Milkfed) sells around 4,000 tonne of ghee every year out of which nearly 700 tonne is exported to foreign countries.
