Union Minister Beni Prasad Verma today attacked LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan for siding with BJP ahead of the parliamentary elections.

"Those who are in politics for earning money are switching (alliances) at the time of polls... Ram Vilas Paswan is an example," he told reporters here.

Verma also dismissed attempts by rival parties to form a Third Front, saying it would not meet with any success in the Lok Sabha polls.

"The dream of (Samajwadi Party leader) Mulayam Singh Yadav, who is in Third Front with the hopes of becoming prime minister, will be shattered... (Bahujan Samaj Party chief) Mayawati, too, cannot become PM as she plays politics of a particular caste," he said.

Verma, the Union Steel Minister, then went ahead to assert that Congress Vice- President Rahul Gandhi would become the next PM after the party won the polls.
