Very light to light rainfall in Bihar

Some parts of Bihar received very light to light rainfall while other areas of the state remained mainly dry.

As per the met office bulletin, one or two places of south east, north centre and north east parts of the state witnessed very light to light rainfall in the past 24 hours.

Bhagalpur received 0.9 mm of rain, while Patna and Purnea received trace since Monday, it said.

Sabour in Bhagalpur district was the hottest place in the state at 40 degree celsius, Met office said.

Among the major cities, Gaya recorded maximum temperature of 38.9 degree celsius, followed by Patna at 38 degree, Bhagalpur at 37.4 degree and and Purnea at 34.5 degree celsius, the weather bulletin said.
 

The met department forecast said the sky would be partly cloudy in Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea tomorrow.
