Veteran Forward Bloc leader Ashok Ghosh admitted to hospital

Veteran Forward Bloc leader and party's state secretary Ashok Ghosh (94) was today admitted to hospital following respiratory problems.

"He was admitted to a private hospital in the morning. Presently he is in ventilation and his condition is not good," AIFB leader Naren Chatterjee said.

Ghosh took over as state secretary of Foward Bloc in the late 1940s and has been re-elected to the post for the past seven decades making him the longest serving leader at the post in any party.
