Veteran writer Bhalchandra Goswami passes away

Veteran litterateur and expert on parliamentary and political issues, Acharya Bhalchandra Goswami, today passed away after protracted illness at SMS hospital here.

Goswami (80), popularly known as 'prakhar', is survived by three sons and a daughter, family said.

He was the first deputy secretary in Rajasthan Assembly and wrote about 70 books. Goswami was inspired by Ram Manohar Lohiya.

He has received many awards including Rajasthan Sahitya Academy's first critic award for his book 'kahani darshan'.
