A staff of the government veterinary hospital in nearby Pollachi allegedly committed suicide by hanging inside the hospital, police said today.
Fifty-three-year-old Murugesan, who was staying in the hospital in Kanjampatti Nagoor, had allegedly taken the extreme step yesterday, they said.
The incident came to light this morning when the sweeper came to the hospital and found the door locked from inside and peeped through the window only to see Murugesan hanging dead from the ceiling, they said.
A case has been registered and investigation is on.
