Press Trust of India Jammu
Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) today criticised the state government over its inability to tackle disgruntled voices in the state's police force.

"The state government should wake from its deep slumber and silence disgruntled voices in the police force and take action against errant personnel," VHP state president Ramakant Dubey said while pointing out to the alleged objections in Police Training School, Manigam in Ganderbal district over Amarnath Yatra duty.

Around 900 policemen at PTS Manigam objected when they were asked for Amarnath Yatra duty.

"About a year back nearly nine hundred youths were given jobs in J-K Police. They have almost completed their training at Manigam Centre and were now deputed to Yatra duty, but raised their objections and also demonstrated on Ganderbal-Sonamarg road," Dubey alleged.
