VHP today termed the government's move to induct more Kashmiris into the Indian Army as a "futile exercise" and sought strict action against 'jihadi' elements in the Valley.

"Enough of such futile (so called!) peace ways... At least keep them away from Army recruitment!!!," VHP's international working president Pravin Togadia said on twitter while referring to the Army recruitment drive in Kashmir.

"Governments anywhere have the resources to take on any outfit. We hope the Government of India will take strict action against 'jihadi' elements who are indulging in anti-India activities," Togadia told PTI.

He also said the Indian Army has the capacity to silence such anti-India voices but wondered if the government has the capacity to energise such a political will.

"Government of India has the capacity to energise political will?," he asked.

Reacting to US Senator Ron Johnson's views on NY bombings, the VHP chief said, "US has now seeing through the Jihadist threat; hope that Indian Government will see Jihad as a threat."

He also hit out at the West saying while they are facing such threats and acts of terror they seek action against them and did not take India seriously when it faced such actions from terror groups.

"When the west says it now, its their investigation (Oh! They know all!) and when we said it past 20 yrs, we were termed 'bhadkaau' (instigators)!," he tweeted.
